Cereal products

Our favorite wholegrain, barley, is grown, processed and packaged in Vallanes  and is available in different versions.  Barley is an excellent wholegrain, with complicated carbohydrates which stabilize the blood sugar giving a long lasting energy throughout the day.  Barley is rich of vitamin E,  B1 and B2,  iron and calcium.  Barley has earned it’s place in  modern Icelandic cuisine as a side dish or for baking.
