Group visits
The Vallanes farm is a known for the application of agroecology while cultivating organic vegetables and grain in cool, nordic climate. It is the home of the Móðir Jörð food products wich are made of 100% certified organic ingredients. This is one of the most northern places in the world where grain is cultivated. We offer various tours and services for groups who want to learn about and enjoy local organic Icelandic food at it’s roots. Short visit (<1 hour): Visit us and we give you a quick tour of the premises and what we do. Tasting in one of our greenhouses included and guests are invited to visit the Móðir Jörð shop and walk the fields. Minimum 6 people. Price: 1.800 kr pr person
From field to Breakfast (1 1/2 hour). We give you a guided tour around the farm and fields of Vallanes and share the secrets behind our healthy and delicious wholegrain. We invite you to our breakfast table in our newly built Aspen house which is made with wood from the farm. At the end of the session guests are free to visit our shop or walk around the fields and forrests and enjoy nature. Minimum 4 people. Price: 4.500 kr pr person
From field to Brunch/Lunch. (2 hours). We give you a guided tour around the farm and cultivation of Vallanes which has been certified organic since 1990 and produces various foods from vegetables grown at the farm and local herbs from the area. We share food stories around the table and incourage our guests to be hands on collecting the key ingredients* and preparing the meal. At the end of the session guests are invited to visit the Móðir Jörð shop or walk around the fields and forrests and enjoy nature. Minimum 6 people. Price: 5.500 kr pr person
